About the event
Medicine walks are a different way to engage with the land. In these walks we will locate ourselves socially, physically and emotionally to our relationship to the land. This style of walk is slower, and focuses on observing our settings while considering our implications in how we live and regard the world around us. This walk is a learning experience, one that is about survival and healing.
Terre Chartrand (she/her) is Algonquin, Welsh, and French. From her early childhood, Terre spent a lot of time learning survival and skills on the land and has since developed this into a practice focused on learning and training in survival and land based skills. She is a teacher focused on relationship restoration, plants and medicines, a trapper and hunter, and a community organizer. Terre is a playwright and author, beadworker, and artist.
